This is my first Gibson and I couldn't have made a better choice for the money! The neck is smooth and easy to play and the action was perfect from the factory. The pickups are amazing in her too! In "clean" they are clear and bright and in gain, they blow away all my other guitars! True Gibson all the way on this one. If this is what a 500.00 Gibson sounds and plays like, who needs to spend triple??? A+ all the way on this one.

This guitar is simply amazing. If you want to get close to an SG standard, this is as close as you will get. I tested this baby out, and I honestly think this is better than the Standard! I mean, I would still rather have a Standard because it is prettier. This gives you a beautiful crunch. BUT this is definitely the guitar to go with if you cannot afford a Gibson SG (real one) PLEASE BUY THIS GUITAR FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!!

GIBSON SGJ 2014 is amazing whether you like super vintage, heavy grunge, the sounds of the under world, the mellow blues of the "King", maybe even a little country twang, and even the sweet embrace of clean little cherub angels as they float around with little arrows of rock just waiting on the perfect time to let it fly. I know it is not top shelf liquor we are talking about here but trust me it is almost like they messed up and put the wrong label on the bottle and are losing tons of money. I have the Fireburst Satin and it looks amazing. But I also would not mind owning the Vintage Sunburst Perimeter Satin as well. Took me about 2 weeks of tweaking the action and neck adjustment (O.C.D.) but I have my action insanely low and have almost no fret buzz what so ever. The pickups are perfect the bridge is perfect high pitch without being tingy. And the neck is as warm as hot chocolate when you have let it sit so it will not burn your taste buds. And I get no static noise at all, but I do get this sweet little bit of feedback that has made me want to just live in that moment forever. As for the neck and body I could not ask for better quality, and even though some people say the frets need to be sanded I have no issues what so ever. I would say to them "quit crying and being overly critical seriously" I highly recommend 2014 SGJ to anyone!!!!!!!! The cons: It does not fold up to the same size as my little Orange Micro Crush practice-travel amp.
