Fender Custom Shop 60th Anniversary Series Broadcaster Electric Guitar (105802334)

A Custom Shop reproduction of one of the most collectable guitars ever!

The 60th anniversary of the Fender Telecaster guitar has been celebrated by a unique and unprecedented release of some of their most collectable and historical instruments. This particular guitar is a reproduction of one of the most collectable guitars ever. Probably only 200 were made before the Gretsch company sent a telegram asking Fender to change the name because Gretsch owned the name "Broadkaster." This is the first time the guitar has been reproduced with the original logo since then.

The LTD Limited Broadcaster 2 Pickup model features a premium ash body with the Custom Shop Relic finish treatment, 1-piece maple neck, 25.5" scale length, and a 21-fret maple fretboard. A Flat Pole Broadcaster single-coil pickup in the bridge position, and Vintage 50's single-coil pickup in the neck position offer the player a wide variety of tones for any style of music. Chrome hardware includes a vintage style bridge with 3 vintage saddles and Fender/Gotoh vintage style tuning machines. Includes case, strap, cable, and a limited edition certificate of authenticity.

  • What a player!

I've owned some awesome teles over the years and this one is the cream of the crop. It looks and feels right, like the Nocasters... The fretwork is superb and plays effortlessly, and makes you appreciate the vintage fretwire size. The relicing isn't over the top like on the NAMM display model. Soundwise the neck pup is a bit dark... like a 53 RI. The bridge pup (where I live), is great and sounds like a tele should. The neck shape isn't the extra deep U like the Nocasters, it's more of a chunky/full C and is really comfortable. The case is a bit gawky, but I have a spare tweed caase laying around , so, the original case and candy will be put away... but not the guitar, it's a real player and that's what I'm doing with mine.

Right when you pick up this guitar you will notice a change in your playing ability. Just the way your fingers run across the fretboard is amazing. It's sooo smooth and is one of the best custom shop guitars I've ever owned. The attention to detail on this guitar is par to none, and the tone of it is magnificent. You should definitely play this baby through a all tube amp to really get the sound you want.
