Product Information

With EMG pickups.

The Jackson DKMG Dinky is a rock and roll machine. Carved top alder body, maple neck, compound-radius bound rosewood fingerboard with shark-tooth inlays. EMG 81 and 85 pickups for crunchy rhythm sounds and punchy lead tones. Floyd Rose-licensed double-locking tremolo.

Jackson's compound-radius fingerboard curves more dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens out as it approaches the neck joint for low-action bends without fretting out. With a more relaxed hand, you'll play better!

Jackson DKMG

This is the best Japan made Jackson ever made. Starting with the neck. It is a fast neck, the action is low and perfect for rythm and lead, and is not to skinny and not to fat, very comfortable when you play. The body is a solid body really feels like a U.S.A. made product. It's as heavy as Fender Strat, but gives you that Jackson soound. Speaking of sound the EMG's are just like PB&J with the wood on the Jackson. You can get that fat trebly, trebly fat, trebly, or fat sound. They are even more amazing when you punch the distortion up and punch a rythm with a heavy fast lead with a 3 stack Marshall you will crave this guitar for the rest of your life. Classic rock to blues to metal to country it is one of the most versatile pickups ever made. The hardware like the Floyd Rose Tremolo is great for that crazy rythm or that fast lead you crave. Also, the all black looks so slick on the guitar great look that will make anyone turn. This guitar will be one the most slickest, most versatile, most well built guitar, Jackson will ever make.

Absolutley Wonderful

Well... the first thing i noticed was this guitar amazing looks. So thats what really turned me on to it. Then I plugged it into a line6 150 watts... switched it to the metal setting... and I have'nt played a guitar that sounds this good since. I got this guitar for christmas and so far i have no problems with it.

the shred

let me start of by saying tht i've only played 5 guitars with active pickups and i don't like the way they sound. this guitar is a dream though. the neck is so smooth, i've never played anything faster except maybe the satriani sigs and i stick to bc rich and ibanez almost exclusively. i've played my friends rhoads alot and this blew it out of the water completely. within 10 minutes of picking this up i was shredding better than i ever had. its a drem just to look at even. the bridge on the one i played was set tight which i like because it doesn't dip when you rest your hand, divebombs are great but it doesn't trill too well so if your a slayer fan then you might wanna keep looking, maybe it was just the model i had though. tone was great, clear and sharp like emgs do but lacking in real warmth. if you're looking for pure power so you can just play and not have to worry about little nuances then this great, it almost felt like cheating when i sat down with a strat later and realized how much of an advantage this thing gives you. i played through the line 6 spider 3's the 30 watt and the larger combos, not the cab though. they all sounded great with this on different settings. i didn't like the reverse headstock just because you have to feel for the knobs to tune it, but the floyd rose makes it easy so that its not too much of an issue. its an archtop and kinda small so its light and very easy to play standing. there was only one volume knob though so i was a little disappointed. really though this is an amazing guitar and well worth the price, don't worry about buyers remorse, i'd change the pickups just because i'm a freak and i like dimarzio and duncan. if you have the money, get it, its pretty, it plays great and it has great tone, good sustain and helluva smooth overall.

Jackson or Bust!

Wow...where do I start? You just have to love Jackson guitars! This is my second Jackson (I also own a RR3), but I have had this guitar for about a year now and it kicks major @$$! Dime squeals are effortless thanks to the Emg's, the thin neck and rosewood fretboard provide amazing comfort, and the locking nut keeps the guitar in tune no mattter what. Two other amazing features would be the floyd rose bridge, and the guitars breath taking looks. I am very pleased with this axe!

unbelieveable!

This guitar has everything I had ever wanted! From the agressive look, E85 pickups, light weight, jackson/ floyd rose combo, and easy manueverability, this guitar kicks some serious butt. Playing Slayer, Trivium, and Metallica have become much easier thanks to Jackson DKMG series.
