I have to say that the product I got is a real good deal for drummers, I play out a lot and I go through a lot of sticks. The sticks I got are 5a's and they take a beating.
I understood that the styles and sizes would vary, but I was astonished when I received my package. There's no shoulder or tip to speak of, just a sanded nub. The sticks themselves are very disappointing as well, as I haven't been able to find a single pair of straight sticks in the two sets that I ordered. These are going back in the mail.
the sticks i tend to use are both vic firth and pro-mark, i always use them for any gig i have and would never change them for anything. Im a heavy player, constant rim shots, real hard strokes so you can imagine how long they might last. Now these sticks won't last me for the gigs i have, however i use them for practice only, that way i don't have to wear off the good ones. I don't play as hard when I practice although i still can be a little rough with sticks during rehearsal, they last quite a while and definitely a good deal.
